“Keep it simple. My design inspiration includes Lance Wyman, Paul Rand, Charles & Ray Eames, and Le Corbusier. What do they all have in common? A simplistic, functional, and highly-refined aesthetic that gives their work a timeless quality. All design should aim to satisfy this criteria. Interactive design needs also be engaging, intuitive, accessible, and work across multiple platforms.
Be brave. This applies to both designers and people investing in design in these difficult times. As a client you will be looking to get the most bang for your buck, but an optimistic investment in creativity and innovation could have massive benefits for your company's image, the aspirations of your staff, and the relationships with your customers.
Stay fresh. Design is a process of problem solving. Problems change over time, so the solutions have to as well. I aim to re-invent my creative approach at least once a year, sometimes more frequently. Be the instigator of change, rather than the victim of it.”
